1981 penny s missed places plus strip markings on coin, I got this coin about 5 days ago from chase bank when I went to get some rolls of pennies. The s is in a storage location. The strips on coin look like tiger strips too. Please tell me what should I do with coin. I seen one coin on line that had tiger strips but not a 1981 with missed placed s from 1981 thank you
The black stripes are made from a magic marker, they will easily come off with the right cleaner. The coin is already damaged but the cleaner would make the coin worse. What you call a misplaced S is not really an S. Your eyes are playing tricks on you.
I just got the coin from the bank about 5 days ago. When I went to exchange my old pennies.. I not sure about the strips on coin cause it came that way. But the coin does have a very strange 3 or s or even maybe a 5

It's obvious you're very new at this and have no knowledge of the minting process. If you knew or understood how coins were minted you would know that it would be impossible to have any type of a letter or number in this area caused by the US Mint. It's not in error.
Lets play nice folks. Rorololo, With a circulated cent such as you present, absolutely anything could have happened as it went from person to person as change over the 38 years and often has. Value is only for damage or irregularities caused by the mint's action on producing the coin. People who have spent a lot of time studying what can happen in the mint, also have a good idea of what can not happen in the mint and is just damage, and not a variety or error. The people who spend their own time evaluating peoples coins, tend to get bothered when people ask , but do not believe an answer that it is only worth a cent. which is this case. Occasionally people do find something special and we are all very happy for them, it makes everyone's day. But after studying the coin making process, you will see what is meant. Play nice is not something CT does well if at all @Rorololo yes, you need to take better pictures. These are largely what we call potato pictures (as in there might be a coin there or maybe a potato). ONE picture of the full coin: obverse, and reverse. Cropped to show just the coin, not your living room or whatever. The camera needs to be SQUARE to the coin, so the entire surface is in focus (if you take one at an angle and zoom in, you'll see only a narrow band is in focus and the nearest and farthest details are blurry). Well lit so we can actually see the coin. Don't create a collage - most of us know it means the coins are cropped and resampled and the pics are useless, so we don't even bother looking. Besides, it takes the time you might spend looking at the next coin. Then add one or two pictures of the feature you are asking about.
