You sure can. It's your coin so you can do whatever you like. I think they are currently selling for about $25-$30 but I suspect the price will drop next year.
I'm not sure these coins are going to be going up in value any time soon, they're already discounted on third party online retailers. Also, if you don't come out with both coins grading 70, you're beat. People unfortunately are going to pay a premium for a 70 over a 69 for absolutely no good reason besides it makes them feel better. Also with 110,000 sets made, they're far from rare. Just my 2 cents.
What 3rd party online retailers are discounting these coins? Curious... APMEX is certainly not discounting them. They are selling the set for $179-$187! At any rate, I have certainly decided I need no more than the 3 sets I have. One for me, one for my son, and not sure who gets the 3rd one yet.
Modern Coin Mart sent me an email last week that they discounted all the sets that they have, graded and raw. The prices are still ridiculous, but clearly, people aren't paying what they thought they'd be paying. Labels and the color of the holder are a scam and it's ridiculous that people pay extra money for a label and not the coin.
I used to collect multiple full date runs of all the ASE's. However, the milk spot issue changed my mind and I dumped everything. The series itself, is overdone. The large dealers with their bulk grading business plan and slim margins have primarily capured the secondary market for most every modern offering.
