i see a lot of gold plated coins and sets. i bought a couple of quater sets. does this increase the value of the coins or does it hurt them in the long run
cbr: There is no real value (above face) for these plated coin on the secndary market. Sorry, but keep trying.
I remember my brother bought me a gold plated silver eagle as a gift. I hated it. I mean it says '1oz Silver' on it and its bloomin gold!!!!! I think you will often see them referred to as 'token' or 'novelty' coins. As they are not like something you would see in circulation.
