Can anyone take a quick look at this?

Is it just wear/pmd plus some mechanical doubling? Just asking so I can know not to next time I see something like this.

    It looks like die deterioration to me. I can see parallel striations pointing toward the rim.

    Worn die. Newer quarters have severe problems with this, especially at the Philadelphia Mint
