Any Idea What this is or What it is worth???

    Hello,
    I picked this up from a guy at the flea market this week. I told him I was not to sure about the coin so he said $2. So I thought I would take a chance. It may even be fake. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    It's supposed to be an 8 reales from the Spanish colonial mint in Peru dated 1736. Based on the pics there is no way I can say if it is real or not.

    Neat coin. I would show the coin to a respected dealer and see what they say.

    I think it has tried to be cleaned in something acidic.

    Which is why it looks the way it does.
