    Greetings,

In addition to coins I am now starting to acquire some old paper money. I have 2 quick questions:

What is the best way to protect &/or Store paper money (what are the potential hazards to long term storage & protection) ?

What is a good source for Paper Money Collecting Accessories ?

    thanks in advance,

Howdy... answers to #1: To protect them store them in a Mylar or Mylar "D" sleeve!
To store them always use a silica gel moisture absorber in what ever container used.

#2. Do a google search on Paper Money supplies and choose from hundreds of vendors!

For me I have a large safe that evetything is in..then I have individual safes for notes that are separated into groups...like one safe for Obsoletes, one for Fractionals , one for large size...ect ect..each has a small rechargable silcia gel container in it..

    Good luck!!

i second RickieB's response.. but i wil say this ... the first thing to do is to do a search on coin talk using the phrase CURRENCY SLEEVE .. there was an extensive study and question and answer sort of thing on this very issue.

the 'skinny' on the subject? if it doesnt say MYLAR or MYLAR 'D' .. dont trust it..

but i highly reommend doing the search, it will be worth your time!
