I have it - and it's a good book but the web site is more up to date.

Charles Daughtry is the gentleman that confirmed and did all the press release work on my 1982 ddr that was featured in last October's Numismatic News. The guy really knows his stuff!

I have it---but hardly use it. It does have some good infomation on the dates, and the copie I got was signed....so that is why I got it.
If I need to know about an RPM or such and I don' have it in the RPM book I ust go to Charles's website as he has tons of info there.

Thanks for the info guys, I got a $20 barnes and nobles gift card for my birthday, so I'm shopping around for a good book. Might get this one, we'll see what else comes along. Does anybody have any recomendations on some good Lincoln books?

Speedy, is Charles the owner of coppercoins? Great site, unfortunatly can't bring it with me when I got to a dealers, lol. :D Thanks for the info!

Yep....I've tried contacting him many times with questions about his site but have never gotten a reply---either he doesn't check email or doesn't have time to write back.

If you are wanting a book that lists the varieties for taking with you to the dealer, then this isn't the book. I would go with the RPM book by Wiles if that is what you are wanting. It doesn't show DDR and such but it still shows varieties where as this book is more of a date by date overview.

This is my " arsenal of info " I turn to quite often, the Rpm book and the Coin Collectors Survival Manual are cross series referances, but still come in handy.

I don't think Chuck is ignoring you. He recently moved to Florida and is extremely busy getting his business going there. He was scheduled to instruct a course I am signed up for at this year's ANA Summer Seminar but he had to cancel because he cannot spare the time. Several weeks ago he responded to an e-mail I sent to him inquiring about the course so he does indeed respond to e-mails.
