Yes this can be done at the mint and that's where this happened, if y'all took the time to actually examine coins instead of just telling people it's PMD because you don't know what to look for or just like saying it. BTW that's a Double denomination and I shouldn't have to say what the secondary die is or what caused the multiple dates and features. And that if you know the mint process then there's no way that can happen there??? Have you not seen all the mint errors?? I guess counter clashes don't happen at the mint or multiple strikes?? Knowing the minting process so we'll how does a double denomination even occur?? I don't need better pictures or 50 year's to be able to tell the difference from PMD and an obvious mint error.
Wow.. You must be another coin genius! So exciting You must have more than my 34 years of collecting and studying errors. Oh wait.. You are 33.. I started collecting before you were born!
These people don't have a clue. Perhaps a grading service will confirm your suspicion. Go ahead and send them in to prove these obviously jealous folks wrong. That'll show them. Or you can listen to the experienced collectors, and save your money. I suggest the latter.
LOL, you were not even born yet but you know for sure. Did you take a trip back in time with Marty & Doc? Even though just 3 people here have a combined 150 years in this, you shrug this off. SMH.
I can add another 52 years of experience to that, coincountry86, Tim99's 's coin is just damage and not an error.
