Debating with my grandson he sees a large date and claims the 9 is aiming at bottom 7 not mid maybe he’s right but I see a small date, mention I am 71 years old so my vision isn’t the best but I Just needed a extra opinion. What do you guys see btw thank you to everyone who’s been helping me out I know I’m a newbie lol
But let's see what others see. I also look at the shape of the 9. Pointy is large flat is small. http://www.lincolncentresource.com/smalldates/1970Ssmalldate.html
Largie; I find them easy to identify with the 70 being lower than the 9, and the diagonal line from the bottoms of the 9, 7, 0 is how I confirm my usual disappointment. Both easy enough to see once you get the hang of it
The 'O' is easier for some. Small date is 'cateye' shape, the Large date is a large oval. Yes, grandson is a good one to remember in the will. Jim
Absolutely large. The 9 doesn't curl far enough around, the 7 is low not high, LIBERTY is well struck.
