    looks like the reverse of a memorial cent was transferred to the 44 using a castinf substance like glue or clear epoxy. Fake of course, Jim

    Dried adhesive. Try to peel it off.

    It's a REAL Cent, with an offset image on it from another offset cent placed & glued on top of it which was removed.

    Thank you everyone. You were all correct. It was glue. I just started looking for error coins about a month ago. It's a neat hobby.
