This has got to be the most different quarter, george, theres writing on the inside but i cant make heads or tails of it , what the heck , lets hear from u guys its a clean

Looks like someone had fun with a dremel tool or something.

 

Look close no dremel tool thats in the coin front and back and writing is backwards

 

Zoom in and take a look no dremel, its in the coin, and writing is reversed on the back inside the impression

 

Maybe a punch?

It sure didn't come from the mint like that. Considered damage.

That means nothing. It’s a circulated 1999 Quarter. Anyone can put coins in rolls, not just the mint.

However it got there its very clean no distortion of the coin, clean lines, i wish i could make out what the writing says

Probably the bank wouldn't accept it. As said , at best 25 cents, its the work of a deprived mind. No mint produced it like that. I removed the photos as are not acceptable. Jim

 

Sorry jim meant no disrespect to anyone and it really looks like its part of the coin, dont know how it was done found in coin roll, and if a coin struck on a washer can make it out of the mint then so can a oddly shaped or broken piece of die can to i was just wanting some opions but thanks for taking my pics down, fyi they all thought it was pretty cool at the bank laughed the collective butts off

Was anyone able to read the printing on the reverse side the print was backwards

 

Oh wait u took off the picture even the reverse which really didnt look like the front

 

My apologies to anyone who took offence that was not my intention at all, everyone who has seen it was amused not insulted so again that was not my intention gentlemen,

 

Every punched or altered coin i have seen has lookes exactly like that ... Like someone used a punch or drill bit , but not this coin so if it was done after the fact they sid a hell of a job and put time into making the punch that did it, the coin is perfect the reverse writing on the back is perfect just for blanks and giggles i think ill caugh the 50 bucks and have it graded and sealed away its a one of a kind anyway
