It would be sensible for anyone doing this to place a simple statement on checkout so a person can make an informed purchasing decision. To do otherwise seems to me to be either contemptuous or incompetent.
I've ultimately had good outcomes with Agora, although the last purchase (June?) took over a month to arrive. But arrive it did. Steve
Yep!...You haven't got an emoji that really describes what is happening here at the moment but just to say that Spain shuts down for August!... Must admit I've had good experiences with both sellers..Slow, but everything is slower here
This is new information to me and good to know. I have no problem with people taking time off but not putting up a notice would seem poor business if you value business from people of other cultures. So, the question is whether the rest of us want a certain coin badly enough to try those with a bad reputation for service or look for coins elsewhere. Do you pay attention to bad service reports you read here on coin talk or do you wait until it hits you personally?
As a new member to CT, I read a recent thread regarding auctions people liked and agora was mentioned multiple times. I checked them out and here I am. Now I have learned my lesson and will stay away from them going forward.
I dealt with Agora once and it took over a month. I dealt with them again only because they had an unofficial die match to several others that I had, It took over a month with no responses to my emails and I eventually filed a Paypal claim and then I received my coin. I wouldn't order again though, even though I did get some die matches.
I still have not received any shipping information regarding the coins purchased in July. I have sent Alfred and Matt multiple emails/week without a single response. I have also called Alfred weekly, however, I have never been able to get him to answer. I spoke to Matt twice and he was very nice, however, he basically said that he would keep trying to get into contact with Alfred but that there isn't much he can do. Any advice from anyone here that has dealt with a similar situation? Any help is much appreciated.
Hey All, just read through the entire thread. My apologies, about 3-4 months ago I had recovered from some pretty serious health issues and unexpectedly had my right lung collapse. It hit me harder than I expected and while I thought I had addressed all open issues apparently I did not. If you have any pending issues please send me a direct email at alfred@agoraauctions.com.
I once had a very, very bad experience with one of the Vcoins sellers from who I will never buy a coin again Total lack of communication after about 30 (yes, this is true!) mails from my side. I complained to Vcoins and they solved it very nicely, including a serious warning to the seller. I used this contactform to complain. https://www.vcoins.com/en/Contactus.aspx Good luck !
