Nice German Thaler coin from 1854

    Can anyone please share their opinion on what the currency of this coin might be? I am generally quite lost when it comes to the currency of German coins before 1871. Any insight would be much appreciated.

    1 thaler from Prussia in MS65 or so condition. very nice coin you have there - i don't have my german price guide with me at the moment - maybe someone else will give a value for this - my rough guess would be in the $150 to 200 range

    An 1854 Prussian Thaler in nice MS condition could be worth well over $200 (I paid $185 for mine a few years ago; PCGS graded it MS64), but honestly, if the coin looks like the pic, I'd be suspicious of those colors. -Preussen
