Just got these 2 notes. one is a Barbuda Gold Certificate. The only reason I got it is because I got it for the 30 dollar face value, So I dont think its possible to lose money on it. And the other is a 1923 Canadian Shinplaster. They are called Shinplasters because they were so cheap the soldiers would line their boots with them during the war to stop chafing from their boots!.. and to think, I paid 40 bucks for it LOL needless to say it has a more worthy home than a soldiers boots
cool notes but what is that Antigua & Barbuda note made of? Silver? it cant be an example of a real circualting note.. must be some kind of replica .... and if the Barbuda curerency is worth 30 of theirs to 1 US dollar ... i would say you got robbed just joking of course

It is part of a limited edition set. There were 50,000 sets made. 25,000 of which went to the states for sales. So I dont expect you would see any of these in circulation.
I like the Shinplaster LOL love that name, not so keen on the other though, it reminds me of something they use to do with Baseball cards & also I believe stamps.
Pretty dang cool if I dont say so myself there Snaz!! That sounds like my Mother In Laws Name.. Shinplaster..or at least thats what I think I'll call her! Regards, RickieB
