Nice Maximinus I Tet

    Here is a Maximinus I got sometime ago. I got it mainly for the cheap price.

    It's also a bit rare, which made it more attractive to me.

    O: AVTO MAΞIMINOC EVC CEB, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right .
    R: Nike walking left, wearing long chiton, carrying wreath and palm; LΓ in left field. Y 3 = AD 236-237.

    Congrats on the score, Mat. That's one sweet-looking tet. A nice one of Maximinus like yours is on my list.

    I too have to admit to sometimes buying a coin largely because it was too cheap to ignore. Here's a recent arrival of a coin of a ruler I never expected to own. It's a little rough, but the price was right. :shame:
