Mine (actually my soon-to-be new son's) is scheduled to arrive on the 20th. Once that arrives, he will have all of the 2019 releases.
I've had an affinity for this design since forever, used for ASE first in 1986...in year 2025 it will be 40 years, and I hope they create a new design going forward for year 2026. Something as intricate and meaningful, but entirely new. Beautiful coin...Spark
Be careful for what we hope for. The Mint designs of late have been less than spectacular and, to boot, they are considering colorized coins.
I hope for a lot and am given garbage in return. Seems as though the US mint would rather go the way of the RCM or one of those random Pacific Island nations than putting out decent quality stuff.
Arguments about Milk Spots aside - I like some of the pieces the RCM comes up with each year. They have more creativity - often too much.
If collecting each of the issues is your goal, then you have my sympathy. The US Mint has figured out a way to get the public to buy 2 proof Silver American Eagles per year and they seem to be happy about it! IMHO it was something when the S Mint SAEs we’re limited in production, but these will be made to demand meaning a super-common issue and virtually no secondary market.
2026 will also be the *250th anniversary of the United States of America, so expect some new stuff from the mint. *Sestercentennial, Semiquincentennial, Bicenquinquagenary, or Quarter-millinial, depending upon who you ask.
I love silver eagles but had to quit collecting them a few years back. One of the best designs the mint ever came out with.
