1874-S quarter in an ANACS holder grade 'AU details - NET EF40'. I paid something like $60-70 for this one in 2007. It looks good, actually. I do not see any obvious hairlines.
This 1917 Buffalo replaces one I am putting into a birth year set for my mother. I almost hit the "Under $50" thread, since this came in at 50.99. Too bad about how prominent the spot of corrosion looks next to the feathers - it's just a pinpoint in hand. I put some VerdiCare on it to keep it from developing further.
I posted this on the Attribute This thread before seeing the new $50-$100 thread. I don't think I mentioned the price there. It was $91 plus $3 shipping for $94 total. It is a S-124 R5+. I think there is a lamination at the shoulder on the obverse so it's not all corrosion and damage.
I like this thread, and I think we should keep it alive. Paid $65. Has some crud on it, but near full LIBERTY on a Barber half with a mintage of 534,000? I couldn't go wrong.
