2007 D with addition to the D...

    Anyone ever seen one like this before?...
    The D has an added extension(for lack of a better word)...just found it in my change... 20190815_175542.png

    It appears to be a plating bubble. The copper plating used on todays cents are micro thin and can easily bubble under the right conditions. Very common on all cents from 1982 forward. But not an error of any kind. You might be able to pop it with a tooth pick.

    I second what tommy said. Plating bubble. Zincolns are rife with them.
