So pretty much I bought a coin a few days ago and it just arrived in the mail. Its a Liechtenstein 1 krone from 1904, but it seems surprisingly good for its age, only a bit of dirt on some parts of it. Could it be that the coin has been cleaned? Also sorry, I've only collected coins for a few years now so I ain't sure about everything

From these pics I do not see any signs of a cleaning, looks like the original skin. But wait for the others to chime in.

I don't think so. Looks honest to these old eyes. :)

These Liechtenstein coins usually have this kind of odd luster, but I do see some cartwheel effect so I don't believe it's been cleaned. Very nice coin :)

    Very nice coin. Congrats.
Once again, I'm confused. What does welp mean in your title?

Colloquial variation of "well." You've never heard that one?

  9. Having experience with cleaned coins (partly because I did it when I was dumber and knew nothing of coins), I'd say it's never been cleaned. Just well stored.
