Does anyone have any experience with Coin Manage, Coin Organizer or any other product? For my purposes, I don't necessarily need it to calculate a current value. I am more interested in the organization features....Can they be copied/pasted into Excel? Currently, I utilize Excel, but lots of data entry. Appreciate any thougts.
I use software called Pro-Coin 2008. They have pcgs values for coins and allow you to enter photos along with your coin. They are going to be doing a major update to the software and the newer version - Pro-Coin 2009 should be out sometime around September with a possible currency module included. I have gotten updates from them free of charge. Here is the url: http://www.mwpsoftware.com/Pro-Coin/index.jsp
I'll stay with Excel. That way my d/b contains only the info I want. And I can change it later as I wish. Plus I can link images too (I think.) And Excel came with the computer.
I use Coin and Currency manage and have had very good success with them. Very easy to use and "manage."
Coin Elite is a great product. It's up to about $80 now with the values. I started using it back when it was still a dbase program. When it went to windows it really came alive. One of the things I like best is if you sell a coin, all you do is click a box and give a date and amount it sold for. It holds that information for future reference. Excel can do most anything but I just took the lazy way.
yup, I'd like it to look at my coins and auto-post them, along with the date purchased, grade, cost & dealer's name.
