He also has a Wisconsin corn leaf quarter $300.00 https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/401841682906
I tried to bid $1 on op's link. They wouldn't let me bid for anything under $500....Now that's just funny as the devil, and criminal too.
I would really, honestly like to know if they have no clue what they're doing and think they have something or if they're just a bunch of shister's!
Shister speaks burro poo fluently in order to fool people out of money or other possesions, often associated with used-car salesmen...... I think you might have meant 'shyster'......
Same reason this exist https://www.ebay.com/itm/2019-P-Lin...rentrq:939204d916c0a4e8836fff93fff839fd|iid:1 . There are too many people out there that bid on crap and thats why it keep's happening it's kind of like the telemarketer scammers if people quit falling for it maybe it would go away.
If it sells I think you've discovered a new career path for me! Or at least a great way to earn some extra income in retirement! By the way, I voted yes because I figured nobody else would. Seems two others had the same idea...
That one is an error according to a you tube video that I watched and I believe it may come out in one of the error books? It was attributed as a "detached head" and was a very recent find.
There was a ridiculous Ebay bid for a "1788 Jamestowne E Pluribus Quarter Dollar"... (you can't make this stuff up)... It was a common Virginia state quarter. Because I looked at the listing I keep getting Ebay emails about it. It's been up for auction three times now, starting bid of $300.00 and has yet to have a bidder. Seems at some point folks would wise up..... The bad things is this stuff gives our hobby a black eye.
I report these sellers for fraudulent listing practices and other sellers who use unauthorized slabs. I quit using ebay and only use it for price comparison and every single time I'm looking for a specific coin somebody has a ton of junk listed for a ridiculous price. I don't think eBay polices the listings enough so thousands of sellers like this are just plain stealing from the people who are unaware of the level of fraud being committed. I try to report 10 to 20 a day, to me it's a big problem and discouraging to new people trying to learn a hobby full of crooks.
yes it is an error but the problem is it is a very common and minor error and in the long run there probably will be thousands of them but since it's new they pump them on eBay at exorbitant prices but hey that's just my opinion. Also I wouldn't take too much of what SOME of the youtube coin guys say as gospel either.
I've got a couple dozen of these! I'll let them go for the amazing price of $250.00 each. lol I guess they didn't read the reverse where it clearly states "HALF DOLLAR".
