you think this is plated??

    The overabundance of pitting sure looks like failing plating to my untrained eye.

    Same Cent from your previous thread.. It's porous.
    IMHO it is a fake made in China.

    It is not a real 1943 copper transitional mint error

    And it is worthless!

    The color is not natural. Yes plated.
    Weigh it. The steelies weigh 2.7 grams and plating is not that heavy.

    is the coin cut? shouldn't have a problem determining if it's plated unless it was plated after it was cut. if it was cut weight won't tell you anything.

    good luck with that, even if it was, it's pretty well destroyed.
