Found this in a roll of quarters today. Definitely one of the most worn clad quarters I've seen in my searches. Was wondering if it would be worn enough to be a lowball worth hanging onto.
@furryfrog02 There are a few collectors who build collections of coins in poor condition. That would be Poor-1 (PO1), but the OP's coin wouldn't make that group. It has way too much detail. Chris
I believe that you might find some NGC or PCGS registry sets for PO-1 if you wanted to make some comparisons. Chris
Here are some comparisons. Like Chris said, there's just to much meat on your coin. And like @Burton Strauss III said, a true low ball/PO-1 needs to be straight graded no damage, cleaned or detailed coin.
Lowball doesn't HAVE to be Poor-1, it is what they strive for. The lower the coin straight grades the higher it ranks in the Registry. So if this coin is is at the bottom end of what has been graded it still counts.
