Pawn Shop Score! MS 1904 O, Turns out it was VAM!

    Has anyone ever responded to what VAM it is?

    It doesn't look polished to me. Keep us updated if you get it slabbed.

    I can't tell from the pictures. There are a lot of VAMs for 1904-O that are similar to each other. The approximate mint mark and date positions are about all I can go on in these pictures, and both look like a plausible match for VAM 28, but by no means a conclusive match. I could tell for sure within a couple minutes with the coin in hand.

    The coin does look cleaned to me.

    Its VAM-28 for sure, I looked at pictures online and looked at my coin with a loop, the legend is doubled and the 9 has a small die chip inside the hook. As for being cleaned or not, ill let NGC decide that. I can't find any evidence of cleaning.

    Unfortunately NGC doesn't recognize that VAM though since it is not on the top 50.
