Has anyone ever responded to what VAM it is?

It doesn't look polished to me. Keep us updated if you get it slabbed.

I can't tell from the pictures. There are a lot of VAMs for 1904-O that are similar to each other. The approximate mint mark and date positions are about all I can go on in these pictures, and both look like a plausible match for VAM 28, but by no means a conclusive match. I could tell for sure within a couple minutes with the coin in hand.

The coin does look cleaned to me.

Its VAM-28 for sure, I looked at pictures online and looked at my coin with a loop, the legend is doubled and the 9 has a small die chip inside the hook. As for being cleaned or not, ill let NGC decide that. I can't find any evidence of cleaning.

Unfortunately NGC doesn't recognize that VAM though since it is not on the top 50.
