A STUNNING 1941 LINCOLN WHEAT CENT DOUBLED DIE OBVERSE WOODY VARIETY ERROR YOU CAN SEE NOTCHING IN THE DATE AND MOTTO ALONG WITH A DOUBLED EYELID AND THE DOUBLING HAS CAUSED HIS NOSE TO BECOME VERY BULBOUS MAKING HIM LOOK LIKE A CLOWN LOL THE O IN GOD IS A GOOD PROOF OF IT BEING DOUBLED ALONG WITH THE W IN WE AND THE BOTTOM OF N ON IN HAS NOTCHING
Why are you using all CAPITAL letters? I don't know about the doubling but the Improperly mixed alloy is nice.
I don't see any doubling either. The "notching" looks like ordinary circulation dings. The nose looks like a die break! Chris
Not sure why you think there is doubling. I don't even see machine doubling. Some CT members get irritated when posters use all capital letters. Doesn't bother me, but just a heads up for you. Steve
Likely the post is in all capitals because it's copy/pasted from an Ebay listing. It jsut reads like someone Ebay listing. LOL
Long time in circulation and damage caused irregularities. In those days 1 cent gum ball and other candy machines were common and the mechanical action using the cent to control the opening mechanism was not kind. Nor the counting machines used by the owners of those machines. The blob on the nose may have been original, but no real way of telling with all of the other. Jim
