Does this fall into the same category as mice, squirrels, dogs and worst if all Lazer pointers? We can't worry about what we can't control. It's easy to feel sorry for the guy/gal that makes an uneducated decision. But don't you think you would do your homework for three hundred dollars?
An unfortunate event, if that were to happen, but we can't save the world Kit Cat. All we can do is try to educate then.......and it's hard to educate folks who probably never frequent these forums......
Meow, what food do you eat? I was checking on the food mine have to have or they will drive me crazy, I tried the healthy kind, but they want the dry stuff that crackles in their mouth. So I checked this site and almost none are recommended by cats. You must have a cat or two around, what do they like? And yours Green? Jim, shadow, and patches https://www.catological.com/cat-food/
This is our Buddy, Tebow. He eats this. He also gets a quarter can of tuna in water every night. Only one small bowl a day though. This food is pretty pricey but he won't eat anything else.
Well, Meow is not a very wealthy Cat so cannot go whole foods style on food. But Meow likes certain flavors of Fancy Feast. And supplements it with Meow Mix for little snacks between meals.
Please don't take this as a squirt from the water bottle. Years ago I changed my eating habits to the healthy approach. I eat much less and my body thanks me for it. When I have fed my animals in healthy food I have found that I pay the same price for food as I do cleaning up after them and the amount if food it takes to satisfy them. That 30 dollar bag lasts over a month. And what does a can of tuna cost .89 cents? Your intake determines everything about you. Only Mama got to eat three meals a day back in the 18's and early 1900's.
A sardine Twinkie ? Seriously: In another study, a genetic analysis identified a missense mutation in the coding sequence of MC4R (MC4R:C.92 > T) related to diabetes mellitus in obese cats [20]. The same missense mutation is also involved in the development of human obesity and type 2 diabetes mellitus [21 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5477278/ Very long and interesting study that in humans and cats tend to react ( within their restrictions, like indoor humans compared to indoor cats, feral cats like ..hard working....humans) Less correlation between the general differences. Main outcome seem to be eat more protein, less carbohydrates, fats until your weight and ( insulin levels) get in the range for humans and cats. Think humans should try the dry Meow mix too?
sardine Twinkie ? Just mix it in with left over dry food, then let him out, he will be waiting and expecting that next bowl in the morning. Mine waits for me to open the garage door for coffee.
Unfortunately, we can't do a whole lot. If you worry about all the what ifs you'll only give yourself ulcers and high blood pressure. Best you can do is put information out there in hopes of educating people and giving them the tools they need to keep from getting ripped off, but we can't police the whole world.
No one bid on the "rare" quarter, but if you were on the fence, it's been re-listed. Same seller also has a "rare" 1997 Kennedy that you can grab for just $1000.00
... or go scratch in the litter box. The "rare coin" didn't sell for the outrageous price so the dim wit or fool who put this piece of pocket change up for bids wasted his money.
