Bad fake. The rims, surfaces, date and mintmark are all wrong.

It's bad for sure. The obverse has signs of being cast. Not so much on the reverse.

Yep, looks like trash to me, as do several other Barber quarters he's recently sold.

He doesn't seem to be the usual "inherited these from my grandpa, haven't been touched in 50 years, don't know much about coins" AliBaba reseller, though. He moves quite a few slabbed coins and legit-looking raw ones. Not sure what's happening here...

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

That's one that might fool a beginner, but shouldn't fool most of us.

No good. Casting pits on obverse. Weak mushy details. Poorly defined stars. Everything to me says cast fake

It's not even a rare coin. Reverse looks cartoonish.

The eagle on the reverse is looking behind itself. Looks like bad tooling around the date. Very uneven wear on the eagle's claws...in addition to everything already mentioned. Uff da; anyone report it?

I just contacted the seller to at least give him/her a chance to pull it. To let the seller know: "Someone's watching."

Ominous. But I doubt they have a clue.

Just heard from the seller. He doesn't want to sell it, says he was alerted by another ebayer this morning, but states that if he cancels the sale ebay will "charge me FVF." So he plans to let the winning bidder know and allow him/her to cancel the sale.

For what it's worth, he answered my query.

I was his original contact, and he told me the same about offering cancellation of the sale.
