1980-D Washington Quarter

Got this quarter earlier and noticed some weird marks on the right side of the obverse rim. Probably pmd? Also, the date looks pretty thick to me, but probably just machine doubling?

All I see is a well circulated 1980 D Quarter that was struck with a very worn die. IMO your coin shows Die Deterioration Doubling. Wait for opinions from some of our experts. @Fred Weinberg; @mikediamond; @paddyman98; @furryfrog02; et al.

 

Mechanical Doubling and worn die strike with circulation wear. IMHO
