I'm confused if this penny is double or not ? It really shows on the 87 in 1987 and the L in Liberty?

Have you compared it to any of the known amd listed doubled die varieties? There's a few good sights to choose from and you just match up die markers with examples to your coin.

 

Could be DDO one. You've got the coin in hand so look at all the Doubling and features and if it all matches then you have it. Hard to say for me from your pictures but it's possible

 

Variety Vista is an ok sight to use

 

It looks like machine doubling to me.
