    Hi all,
I did a 6 hour detecting hunt this morning at Rockaway Beach NY.
I always wanted to get the Mibelab 17" Elliptical Double D (not doubled) Coil ;)
Now I get wider and deeper hits.
Todays finds of US Coins was pretty big!

Man Paddy, that thing is huge. At what point will they begin making those coils with wheels on them? . . . or maybe they already make an add-on accessory?

I see you found an NMCL quarter - 2nd column from right; 3rd row from top.

I haven't checked them out yet. Most are normal circulated coins with environmental damage. It's rare that I find a minor error or variety.

Looks like you came close to the jackpot. Your posts are really interesting and may lead a few to begin metal detecting. Also, great shirt. Thanks for posting and I hope we see more.

Wow. That is a monster coil. That would be fun to swing. Any idea of how much deeper it goes? Wish my old machine could handle something that large.

Coiltek already offers gigundo coils (40x20), capable of detecting buried cars, tanks, cannons, airplanes, etc. :p
The big wheel cart is called the Gold Scorpion - a Minelab detector can be attached to the cart/coil combo for deep gold detecting in desert conditions.

Now go out and get some OLD coins! You've got the equipment to get 'em! I've seen the CTX in action in England and was impressed.
