I have just picked up a dozen or so WWII Philappino Emergancy notes and know nothing about them whatsoever, can anyone point me in the direction of a good web site so I can read up on them :smile

sweet notes Steve!! I have seen alot of these in the Krause books when i have been looking for my other Phillipine notes. I am not sure about all of them, but i do recongize alot of the 1944 notes. Will look them up when i get home - assuming someone else doesnt beat me to it
first note - 1 peso - P-S624a second note - 2 peso - P-S625a third note - 2 peso - P-S647B fourth note - 5 peso - P-S648a fifth note - 20 centavo - P-S503 sixth note - 1 peso - P-S505 seventh note - 50 centavo - P-S514 a(narrow date) or b(wide date) eighth note - 1 peso - P-S515 ninth note - 1 peso - P-S661a (i think its a) tenth note - 5 peso - P-S674 eleventh note - 10 peso - P-S676a twelveth note - 20 peso - P-S680a thirteenth note - 5 peso - P-S675 ... i think lol these are the Pick #'s as i think they are ... if you need anything else, just let me know
Who printed them, how they were printed, were they were printed, how they were distriputed LOL Basicly just want to read up on the history behind them, I know about the JIM notes for this area so it would be nice to learn a bit more about the other side so to speak LOL Thanks also for the P numbers appreciated. Now to try and find out more LOL are there mentions of variations in the catalouge?
Yes, some of the notes have variations i dont have my books at work, so that is about all i can tell you I will look tonight to see if they have printed the who, what, where, why, how, and the when we kinda already know
