Old damaged 1917 and 1918 pennies

Discussion in 'US Coins Forum' started by brenda thornton, Aug 6, 2019.

  1. Found these two coins in rolls. To bad, that they are damaged. Also found a 1909, with the initials but you cant see the 9 on the end. Hope to find better ones in the future....for my grandson...He is really enjoying these hunts. 20190806_213425 (2).jpg 20190806_213933 (2).jpg

Not a bad find, especially for their ages. I noted that you are fairly new. This post should be in the coin chat forum. Support and feedback is for help and to notify the moderators. Welcome to CT.

Not so much damaged as just a lot of heavy wear. Those pennies have been around the block a time or two! Fun to find, though.

  6. Has anyone notice in the 1917 coin, there are other dates in his chest area. Is that wear/tear too?
