    Nope, just a damage mark from a coin roll crimper. Welcome to the forum though.

    FWIW, it's best if you take your photos from directly overhead, crop out all of the unnecessary background and resize the image before you post them in your threads.

    By the way, I agree with Cutler!

    i have a 1988 quarter that appears to have a piece of a dimes leave on it. any ideas

    Ordinarily, it is best if you start your own thread so as not to hijack the thread of the original poster. But, in this case it appears that the OP's question has been answered.

    Unfortunately, you have neglected to provide good clear photos which we would need to assess the condition of your quarter.
