Where are you seeing doubling? I see nothing that resembles doubling in your pictures.

No need to be rude. Lol if you cant see what I'm seeing that's okay. I'm looking at a bunch of different varieties. Has a lot of the same characteristics as the doubled die. Which also does not seem to be doubled die. Takes a very close eye on some. Some are much more apparent.

Look them up and compare my penny to the doubled die. You will see what I'm talking about. It is very apperant.

Better yet look at the columns for the doubling!

I'm not being rude but your question did come off as rude. I asked a question, where are you seeing doubling? Did you actually compare it to any known doubled dies?

I see no signs of doubling. Where are you seeing what you think is doubling?

If you are really looking for information rather than starting an argument, you should start by telling us what you think you have that brought you to asking the question, not just saying " Think I have Something Here" and throwing up photos that may or may not show it. If its so small that no one can see it, then it is nothing.

So by post #9 you indicate you think it is a doubled column?

If you think it is the one shown in the bay next to Lincoln, it isn't, its part of the background. Look at this photo.

    https://www.pcgs.com/coinfacts/coin/1966-1c-rd/images/2900.

Its OK to be new at this, so step up and we will help, no need to pretend you know and are just testing people.

Alright. Not only that column. Btw I am taking these pictures with my phone so I guess it's hard to see. But let's start with the WE the W is really thick and uneven across the bottom. The E is also wavy looking. I'm going to send you a link. There is much more. Compare it to the penny I'm about to send you. I am no brainiac. I dont think I'm the best. I actually know that a whole lot of you guys know much better than myself! But from what I am holding and looking at very closely and have been for like 3 hours now I really believe that I might have one.

Look instead at the ST in trust on your cent and compare to the photos in the VV url, the tops which are much thicker in the VV due to doubling, whereas yours seems to be same thickness on top as well as bottom of letter. The thicker letters of the listed DDO does show slight increase in thickness, but I do not see similar in yours, sorry. Thanks for elaborating. Jim

You lost me 15 posts ago. It's not a penny, it's a cent!

As an aside , knowing that variety vista is an "expert gathering" , I can't find myself collecting this specific one as it appears to me like deteriorated die damage more than doubling , but maybe its just the stage...or not. I really only keep the major ones or I would go as batty as others on here. Jim

I got ya. I'm trying to learn. I am looking for major dates though. Like 1944 steel. My wife and I found 3 1944 Wheat pennies. Two D's. One S. But no steel. Or the small date 1983 D penny that weighs around 3.11.
