    Not sure on your question. Do you mean the circular damage on the obverse?

    That thing around the ear is circulation damage. In 84 years of circulation sometimes things smash into coins leaving them looking a little strange like that. Really, I'm not lying to you.

    I see you got caught in the "Coin Talk Poll Trap". Once you click on it, there is no escape until you post something, anything!, whether it makes sense or not.

    FWIW, in the future, it's best if you crop out all of the unnecessary background in your image and resize the image before you post it.

    The circular scratch was made by a bank tube with a screw.
