To buy it at that price, you gotta be out of your mind..... don't drink the 'toning Kool aid'.........

The color (obverse only) may be great now, but what color will it be in ten years?

Respect for the third party graders, but the coin looks 'cooked' to me......

There is an MS-64 coin under the toning with spots. I am not a “monster toner” fan, so take that into account, but at that price, that offer is a burial.

I like toned coins, but that price is moon money.

If you check his sold listings, it looks like he sold this on Jun 18 . Listed it for $11,999. and took a best offer for it. It must have got returned to him after the first sale. I find it suspicious that he has so many "toned" coins for sale at once. BWDIK?.

I'm always afraid that this isn't natural toning.

That isn't a "monster." That is an attractively toned common date coin in low grade. "Monster" has to be reserved for truly amazing coins.

And absolutely not, that is nowhere near worth that price. It might be considered at a tenth of that asking price....

If you are implying that you think the toning is enhanced or artificial, I disagree. I think it is completely natural, and have seen many others like it.

The pictures, however, have been "juiced" - that is, the color saturation and contrast have been tweaked to make the coin look better in the pictures than it will in hand.
