Is this an error or damage? Sorry about the quality of the pictures. I have a camera on the way in the next couple days

I see evidence of die deterioration, so I would say it is not a Mint error or variety.

That's what I thought it might be. I'm fairly new at this and I don't have the best camera or the best vision. I'm still learning. Thanks

I see two U's and two R;s and two stems the one's on the bottom are in the wrong place and the top one's are correct I would think maybe might be DD on these three things?

As soon as I get a better camera or find someone with one close, I'll take some better pics

DD? Which do you mean? Doubled Die or Die Deterioration? Usually, a Doubled Die will mention the side of the coin...DDO or DDR.

In your words what do you consider a DD

Let me put it this way. Today, people are used to using acronyms for everything, and many times they overlap and mean different things. Oftentimes, this causes confusion. I don't care what some people do with their cell phones, but for me, DDO and DDR have been used as long as I can remember for doubled dies.

Ok hear is the true explaination of a DD it is when you have doubling in the design elements of a coin. DD can appear as an outline of the design or in extreme cases having legends and dates appear twice in an overlapping fashion. A coin that is struck outside its collar has double details such as two partial portraits, one normal one is overlapping and extending outside normal circumferance of the coin is a double stricking error.

But the Dime in question is just Die Deterioration.
It is not a DDR.. That neans Doubled Die Reverse.
That is so simple.. Leave it alone!

Honestly, not trying to be nasty, but is English your native language, some of us are having trouble understanding what it is you want to say. There are widely accepted definitions for these terms.
