I would suggest redbook for info, they struck 350 million 2009 D of birth early childhood Lincoln bicentennial cent, and 700 thousand in copper that only came in mint sets. there were 8 different mass produced. The reason Redbook by Whitman is widely accepted for facts, they have already done all the research for you, more trustworthy than the internet, as the facts on the internet vary and are biased depending on the published document or website.

Now in the proof sets. If I read correctly, didn't they mint them with some tin as well?

5% tin and zinc 95% copper for proofs. same with mint set copper business strikes. this was the mixture of the 1909 the first ones. the business strike coppers are more scarce than proofs.

They use tin and zinc for a stronger alloy mixture, because copper is relatively soft.
