Meow went digging in the Cat hoard today to find a graded Walker. They where also with a pawful of small ANACS steppy nickels. That @Burton Strauss III seemed to be interested in. All these pics where taken during a panic attack so Meow is not sure if they are any good. Meow did this to try and come down and chill. Hope they are good enough for you all to get an idea of what in contained in the Cat hoard.
Meow compared the prices of PCGS values to the slabs above. Surprisingly one guides as $275 if it was in a PCGS holder. It is the 1949s 5 steps. The rest $25-60ish
Did you take any pics of the steppy sides? (and it would be really super awesome if you rotated them to be sorta top-up.... )
No, as it was just give a representation of the steppy little holders Meow had. And a landscape photo fills the screen with label and coin. The portrait shot would not so......that is why Meow did it. Hey, its better than starting a post with a modern PMD penny and claiming Doubled, Dies RPMs, etc. Just a share of the Cat hoard.
Sorry, Garfield, but you’re wasting our time. I don’t mind the cat-talk although it’s annoying, but I expect you to post good pictures of both sides of the 1949-S. You mentioned how much this coin can be worth with FS, but then you don’t post any pictures of the reverse? Really? Are you a cat or a troll?
Because Meow did not post them for you or the other guy. Insulting folk to do what you want in an environment where Meow is not getting paid is foolish. Sorry but, IDWHL! You can call Meow's manager to complain if you like. But Meow does not work here. Nor has Meow specifically asked or begged you to read this thread. Now even if Meow wanted to post more pics of the nickels later, Meow wont just to spite you and the other guy. And how's this for a thought you could not ever come up with on your own; "Hey Meow thanks for sharing those nickels. I would really like to see the reverse of the 1949s PLEASE, as it seems it could be quite a find. And if you don't have the time, then that's OK, Thanks anyway." Or do only Cats know common courtesy?
I like those nickels. Thought he 1947S (third coin shown) and 1949S quite fetching with their obverses.
Well BLETCH on the nega-ninnies, I like them and Meow posted them so I could see the old ANACS (Amos) holders. He also mentioned these were older photos and the holders are buried away. Meow - these are a lot better photos than the earlier ones you shared of the yellow holders. FWIW, I really like the 51D with just a ghost of toning! Thanks Cat Brother!
That’s nice, obverse looks better than MS65 and the 49-S is very tough in full steps. I would crack that and send to either PCGS or NGC. FWIW, ANACS was very conservative in their grading of Jefferson when they used these soap bar slabs.
Meow dug them out today to take pics of them for you specifically @Burton Strauss III . Meow had a bad day, and was doing it in a attempt to chill from panic attack. Meow did attempt a new shot of that walker too. The soapy steppies are wrapped in a cello bag to keep away scratches. Meow now thinks, Meow should have taken them off. There is most likely distortion in the pics because of it. But Meow was a wreck at that point, so was not thinking very clearly. Had some Catnip, and took a long nap after.
The nickels are a bit on the dull side. The 49s is the brightest. Not blast white at all, but less grey than the rest. The last one has a golden tone to it. Meow liked the holders, so bought them for the holders and wanted steppy nickels at the same time.
That's good to know. Well it does not matter too much on the value of a reholder. As Meow does not Catsonally grade coins anyway. And a $200 some odd coin is not going to change a Cats life. Maybe if Meow ever planned to grade coins, or it was potentially worth $1,000s, that might be a different story. Meow does recall hearing that one can ask for a reholder only if it meets or exceeds the current grade. And if it does not, just pay the fee and get it back uncracked. Meow could go for that. That is if Meow graded in the first place.
