Howdy fellow coin peeps, I have run across what I can only call strange, yet very intriguing. For a coin/token it has everything going for it, just like an old colored bottle with lots of embossing. I have no clue whatsoever where this is from nor age/date, so I'm hoping someone here can fill me in on all the whatnots. TIA! :thumb: Ribbit
Its an Indian temple token, featuring Hanuman, the monkey god. It was almost undoubtedly minted recently.
its a temple token featuring ram, laxman, sita, and of course hanuman i think bharat shatrughan ae also i it but cant confirm inspired by the ramayan. those were minted in silver and gold also. the gold ones for some reason are hard to find
I think tokens like this one are facinating. There's so much going on in such a small amount of space and the artwork is fabulous. Ribbit Ps: What religon? Hindu?
yeah hindu when i was little i thought htis wa smy million dollar coin coz i thought it was an acient coin (it was a silver version) so i think the token or medal coin caused me to really develop a liking for the hobby
