Uh-oh, it does look nice now, but I am not sure what might happen in the long run. I'll hope for the best for you. :thumb: Still, now, it looks like you did a good job! :thumb: Phoenix
Frankie cleaned up nicely. I would use pure acetone only. There may be other chemicals in nail polish remover that may show up later. Bruce
I would have let it sit in acetone for a few minutes and then rinsed it. Using a Q-tip on it risks scratching the coin.
Again, it looks nice. But I am surprised though that the ALARM wasn't raised (by some learned members) because of the abrasive qualities and results the use of a Q-Tip might impart upon the coins surface, LOL... Take Care Ben OOPS, didn't see Soda Ants reply. He beat me to it...
Im just thinking why. Yes it looks better, but acetone ALONE would have done the job with out a a chance of long term change to the coins color and i hope you didnt rub with the Q-tip. Nail polish remover is REALLY BAD STUFF.
Hey guys, it is just a circ Frankie! We aren't talking about an 1895 $ here. It looks great for what it is.
