How are we supposed to tell with those awful photos? I suppose you could buy it and then return it as "item not as described" if it isn't.
I would say no, but with the photos out of focus like they are, there is no way to tell for sure. The dies were worked on that year so there are many 1916 Lincoln's made for circulation that are very well struck.
Voted no, didn't bother looking. 1916 cents that are uncirculated often come with very sharp details and rims.
Yeah even with the awful pics I'm saying no. 1916 was a great year for great strikes. I have a few really nice 1916 wheats with strong strikes.... obviously this one MS64
No, even out of focus, the rims look non-proof to me. If he was so sure , he would have sent it in for a slab. Jim
Just another ignorant seller, almost all mint state 1916's look like proofs to the untrained eye because the master hub was "fixed and enhanced".
