I wish you would have posted a photo of the mintmark. Your half dollar is defiantly a DDO. It is not the CONECA listed 84P DDO-001, attached are some photos of the 84P DDO-001 from my collection, note the differences with your DDO photos. Also attached is a photo of the marker for the 84P DDO-001, die gouge from tail under eagle's right leg. It looks to me like you may have an 84D DDO, a new discovery. I would send this to James Wiles at CONECA. Very nice find.

I don't know how I missed this thread when it originally posted on July 31, 2019, but I have to compliment you on your close-up photos. What equipment did you use to capture these images?

Also, have you followed through and submitted this '84D Kennedy for attribution? If so, what were the results?
