Grading a 1907 $20 Liberty

    Crossing this over to PCGS. What do you think it will grade? I will disclose current grade after some responses come in.

    Wow! Check out that luster!! A lot of chatter. I don't know, I hate going first. MS something..65? 66?

    Agree about the chatter. This is a sparkler. MS-64. Reverse is nicer.
    Without all the chatter it's very high MS.

    These alloyed 90% golds are a little softer than their alloyed silver counterparts. I'm giving the girl a break, MS64.

    Great job everyone!! I dont think it will hit 65 but might be worth a try with my next submittal.

    They did not take anything off for the ding on the date on this one MS65 on PCGS website...

    Hmm, this would seem to be an instance of grade inflation to me. I have a 1907-S graded MS-60 (albeit in an old green PCGS holder) that's equally as nice, if not nicer.

    This 1907-D $20 Liberty is graded MS-64. There is another picture of the OP coin on the PCGS blog that makes this piece look like an MS-63 from another angle. I think that the PCGS grade will be MS-63.
