Hoping to get your input on grades on a couple of lincoln cents that I have that are in 'nice' condition (in my mind). I realize that these are in a plastic holder but am hoping the quality shows...
Never mind, the scans did them no justice at all...you can remove this post if it pleases the moderators
That's what I was thinking on it also. It looks much better than the scan. the irnoy is that I found this in change probably 10 years or so ago. Stuck it in the holder right away.. The 1910 has similar feature retained in the wheat leaf on on the obvers, but is brown. Again, scan does it no justice...
Yes, the "brown" color is toning. It could be uncirculated, and be dark brown. I can't say for sure, but I think the 1910 is circulated.
Well, you have a couple of very nice coins. I collect coins from circulation, too. Good luck, and keep searching.
Well I am no expert, and the pics are a bit small to make out any good details for grading but I will say that just because you plucked it from circulation does not mean that it would not grade MS by a TPG. Technically speaking the coin is circulated but for the record I have sent coins in to be graded that were taken from circulation and they came back in a better than MS grade.........I will not mention any names but it is not one of the XYZ grading companies........Enjoy collecting!!
I do only collect coins from circulation. I just don't have the passion to purchase coins. I think it's the treasure hunter in me....I know that flies in the face of what most folks do in this forum....but that's how I am..
Actually, you are the very definition of what a coin collector is. As far as that "flying" in someone's face goes; Let it fly!
