Well guy.s...I just bit the bullet and bought the $2 South Carolina Railroad Fare Note. I am pretty sure this completes the series... $1, $2, and $5 notes...it is in CHCU condition and the vignet is really inspiring. Thanks for taking a look... Regards, RickieB
very nice. that note is really sharp looking. one of these days i can start to add beauties like that to my collection.:smile
another stunner!!! its always nice to see a portion of a goal completed It seems as a collector gets closer to finishing 1 goal, another avenue of collecting opens
Another great looking note RickieB. The year of your note 1873 coincides with the great panic of 1873. At the time many folks blamed the railroads for the economic melt down between the years of 1873 and 1876. Many railroads went under during that time frame. Lou
Thank you Gentlemen! I appreciate you all taking a look. The 3 together make a nice display... Regards, RickieB
RickieB, The note looks fantastic. Btw, where are the 2 of you going? After all, it's good for a fare for 2 persons for 25 miles from Charleston, SC. Do you need to be picked up? Beautiful note! Jack
Thanks guy's for the comments. The reason for buying these notes is mainly the Train (son loves em) and the eye appeal they have. The engraving is simply works of art by the American Bank Note Company! RickieB
