Inflation comes even to Cointalk, so I'm upping the ante for low cost coins. Not a put-down of under $50 coins; I've got plenty of those. Purchase doesn't have to be recent. Anything bought in the 20th or 21st century will do. To kick things off, here is my $50-100 coin. It's my one and only lowball coin ... a centennial year S mint sitting liberty half. Bought it to show newbies and noncollectors what the low end looks like, but have actually become fond of the lady. Let's see what you've got! Cal

Fun idea. Here’s one I got for $80 to add to my NGC registry of war nickels. It is a type one, but the set had a place for it since Denver did not mint silver nickels until 1943.
Does this count? From what I've read, these coins were accepted as legal tender in the United States up until the civil war. I know it's probably not worth what I paid for it ($57), but it satisfies my urge to own a shipwreck coin.
