2 1964 D Quarters with same Die Break

    They appear different to me. Maybe the photo angles, but the upper one, the break/line , enters the wing lower, more room between it and the leaf and exits more a level line. The lower one has less distance between it and the leaf, and it swoops up the wingtip. Possibly a weakness area of the die design. I don't collect quarters, so I don't look at many. Jim

    I agree. One does enter the wing at a different place. Thanks for pointing that out. I'll keep them both.

    I would think the die crack grew in the bottom photo.
