2017-D Lincoln Cent w 0 Behind the 1?

    B88CEEFD-0675-4A3E-85CA-AB2EF8AE5A28.jpeg F5409A8E-F8FC-4ECA-9D23-41B70B6F4987.jpeg This penny is obviously pretty beat up but it looks to have a 0 stamped behind the 1. Anyone agree or have another idea what it is?

    Zinc rot has eaten through the 1 and popped the plating blister under it. Looks like the 1 also took a small hit from that large gouge. See the upward motion.

    Ah yea I can see now it’s not quite the same shape as the real 0 to the left... thanks!

    You're welcome. Got a wee bit excited did ya? lol Your coin should be a great learning experience for you. It's an easy study of several problems with these Zinc Cents. Apply what you learn to other zinc Cents and you'll get the hang of it.
